A baker uses light bulbs, like the ones shown below, in the display cases in his bakery.

The baker has two different light bulbs he can put in the display case. One light bulb gives off a bright light. The other light bulb gives off a dim light. Which light bulb will transfer more energy to a cake sitting in the display case and why?

1. The bright light bulb will transfer more energy because only bright light can transfer energy. The dim light bulb cannot transfer any energy.
2. The bright light bulb will transfer more energy because bright light transfers a lot of energy and dim light transfers only a little energy.
3. The dim light bulb will transfer more energy because dim light transfers a lot of energy and bright light transfers only a little energy.
